It is very competitive to take on work in the NY Metropolitan area. Local Contractors have one of the best resources to employ skilled labor to deliver their project safely, and on schedule. This is a commitment from the members of Iron Workers locals 40 & 361 and the Joint Apprentice Committee (JAC)
Members attend a 3 year training program while working in the field they meet in class twice a week during the evening. There are also specific courses offered on weekends. Graduates will leave with all the certificates and licenses required to work in the trades, to include NYC DOB, NY State and OSHA certificates.
Training continues throughout members careers, preparing for new rules, regulations, keeping up-to-date with certifications and licenses.
